On Monday I gave all my fellow Bulls fans a word of caution about Game Two between Derrick Rose and Co. against the hated Miami Heat; it's my hope that Coach Thibodeau showed his squad video from the "Memorial Day Massacre" and told them about how the Lakers came back from their Game One thrashing to knock off the defending NBA Champion Celtics. Some Bulls fans may be going into tonight's game with some high expectations – and with good reason – but momentum in sports is a very ephemeral and can switch between competing teams at any time.
Beyond the intangibles of momentum, you also have the tangible aspect of sports which is talent. Chicago is fortunate to have one of the most talented players in basketball, the 2011 NBA MVP Derrick Rose. Watching him play you can tell that he's something special, but how does he stack up when compared to the Greatest Bull of All Time, Michael Jordan? Of course, when it comes to championships there is no comparison…yet. But check out this video from the folks at Sports Science who take a look at the extraordinary abilities of the Bulls starting point guard. I was surprised to see that D-Rose actually outdid MJ in one aspect of his game:
Tonight should be a thrilling night for Bulls fans!
